About the artist

Tamsin is an independent artist based in Lincoln. Too many years ago to mention, she studied at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, nurturing her love of art. She finds the creative process therapeutic, unless her cat Rosie arrives to cause havoc!

Lino printing is a process for producing images in which a design is carved into a block of soft linoleum tile. The image is in reverse and in relief, so what is left is what prints onto the page. Every image is unique and holds its own perfect imperfections, so what you hold in your hands is truly special.

Tamsin draws her inspiration from all things gothic, witchcraft and black. Sometimes she needs reminding other colours exist! Her main muse however is Lincoln Cathedral – a place which holds many memories for her and her family.

In years gone by, Tamsin has spent her time teaching Art to secondary school students. She lives with her husband, children, beloved cats and many houseplants in Lincoln within hearing distance of the cathedral bells.

Lino workshops

Spend an afternoon or evening with friends and Tamsin. She will guide you how to design, carve and print your own lino print. Cake and coffee is essential to the process.
